The Kenya Scouts Association (KSA) has officially set the stage for the highly anticipated 2026 Regional Inter-Patrol Competitions.
Following the successful conclusion of the county-level qualifiers held earlier this year, the association is now ready to elevate the spirit of scouting excellence to the regional level.
The competitions are scheduled to take place from Thursday, 2nd July, to Sunday, 5th July 2026, across all 10 scouting regions in the country.

Essential Guidelines for Participants
To ensure a smooth and successful event, the National Executive Commissioner has outlined strict requirements for all participating teams. Regional chairpersons and County Scout Commissioners are requested to ensure these guidelines are disseminated and followed:
Registration: All Scouts and Scout Leaders must be registered members of the Association for 2026. Proof of membership (membership cards) and a copy of the School’s Registration warrant are mandatory for entry.
Arrival: Participants are expected to report to their respective venues by 2:00 p.m. on the start date.
Patrol Composition: A standard patrol consists of 8 members. Exceptions are made for Jasiri Scouts and Special Needs units (10 members for Category A) and a minimum of 16 members for drill teams.
Fees: A competition fee of Ksh 4,000 per patrol applies. Band competitors and marching patrols are required to pay Ksh 500 per head.
Logistics: Participants must bring sufficient food, personal effects, and materials for constructing gadgets.
Safety & Welfare: Strict adherence to discipline and competition rules is required. Female teachers must accompany all girls’ teams, and the separation of male and female tent accommodation—even for Jasiri Scouts—must be strictly maintained.
Additional Opportunities
In addition to the main events, the association has introduced Road Safety and Ringo Competitions for interested scouts. Registration for these specific categories will be conducted upon arrival at the venue.

The KSA leadership encourages all participants to prepare diligently, upholding the scout motto as they compete in this year’s regional showcase.
