TSC condolence message after death of KEPSHA chair Johnson Nzioka

TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE FAMILY OF MWALIMU NZIOKA JOHNSON MATHEKA

It’s with profound shock and sadness that I have learnt of the passing on of the Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association Chairman (KEPSHA) national chairman, Mr Johnson Matheka Nzioka, through a road accident on Mombasa Road near Athi River yesterday evening.

Mr Nzioka is undoubtedly one of Kenya’s most respected academic stalwarts, who has for 38 years served diligently as an ebullient and dedicated teacher under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

His incredible academic performance and commitment to service saw Mr Nzioka rise, most deservedly, from the position of classroom teacher in 1987 to Headship in 2012.

Till his demise, he was the Headteacher of Donholm Primary & Junior Secondary Schools in Nairobi.

Mr Nzioka’s peerless delivery of service led him to a litany of professional achievements and successes, the apex of which was his election as the national chairman of the more than 23,000-member Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA).

In the death of Mr Nzioka, Kenya has lost one of its most gallant academic soldiers, a man who will be deeply missed by the teaching fraternity and the entire education sector.

On behalf of the Teachers Service Commission, I wish to send our utmost and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr Nzioka during this sad period of mourning.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

We wish the family courage and peace during this time of mourning.

Accept our deepest condolences.

DR. NANCY NJERI MACHARIA, CBS
COMMISSION SECRETARY/ CHIEF EXECUITVE
