TSC July 2022 recruitment vacancies for primary and secondary schools and TTC

VACANCIES FOR TEACHING POSTS IN PUBLIC PRIMARY AND POST PRIMARY INSTITUTIONS JULY, 2022

The Teachers Service Commission is declaring 5,000 teaching vacancies to support the government policy on 100 percent transition of learners from primary to secondary schools and to address the existing teacher shortage.

The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. 

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 7th July, 2022.

A) SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (3,972 POSTS).

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements: 

i) Be a Kenyan citizen;

ii) Must be a holder of at least a diploma in education;

iii) Must be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission.

B) TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES (28 POSTS).

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements: 

i) Be a Kenyan citizen;

ii) Must be a holder of at least a Bachelors degree in Education;

iii) Must be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission.

C) PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (1,000 POSTS)  

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

i) Be a Kenyan citizen;

ii) Must be a holder of a PI certificate;

iii) Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please note that:

i) The Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines 2022/2023 Financial Year (available in the Teachers Service Commission’s website: www.tsc.go.ke) shall apply.

ii) The list of shortlisted candidates, interview dates and venues will be published on the Teachers Service Commission’s website by 15th July, 2022.

iii) Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates.

iv) Successful candidates must not fill more than one Application for Employment Form.  Filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification.

v) Manual applications will not be considered.

vi) Successful candidates will be posted to serve in any part of the country and not necessarily in the county or school where they were interviewed.

vii) Merit lists generated during this recruitment for both primary and post primary institutions will be used in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year.

The Teachers Service Commission is also declaring 8,230 vacancies to replace teachers who exited service through natural attrition i.e. 6,539 posts for primary schools and 1,691 posts for secondary schools. The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.

In addition, any such fraudulent activity should be reported to the nearest police station.
